Was that to me? Cuz I heard that the Florida governor has a nickname for our governor and it's not a positive one. -
He pretty much is doing that to every state that is still wearing masks, shutting things down, giving out blind handouts of tax money, defunding police and rewriting graduation standards. Among other things. That said, I don't agree with everything he says. He is like any politician, speaks out of both sides of his mouth and then his rear when he is busy eating crow. I didn't vote for her. She is ruining this state. She was hoping to get the VP nomination, even though I don't like her here I wouldn't want her in charge of the USA. I feel sorry for her husband.

Got my flat rate power bill notification a few minutes ago. Our bill will be going up $65 a month, for the next 12 months, even though our usage has gone down. It will be $780 extra this year out of our budget. I am very glad I don't have city water, their bills are going crazy high with added garbage (they have no choice of companies, now), litter, recycling and yard debris costs added this July. I am nervous about my garbage collection company now. They were the most popular and not that the city has basically cut off all of their customers, I bet they will have to raise rates or go out of business. I am sure some will keep them just for the much bigger cans and awesome service (* they will come down to the house for seniors, instead of up at the road. Huge courtesy out in rural farm areas or hollers.) but others simply won't be able to afford both.Comment

My sister has gotten a job with the YMCA child care for the summer. She is complaining about all the training that she has to do.
This is the same sister that calls me a babysitter and even the provider she used when her kids were little. Lately, she has been making comments that she was going to open a daycare in her home. This is the same sister that lives next door and shares a driveway with me. I can just picture it now, looking out my window and finding her using my playground while running illegally because we are just babysitting after all.

Dcm drops off 28 minutes early. Its an odd schedule and I didn't notice that it wasn't an early day until after she left. Sent her a message and got left on ted until AFTER a silent pick up at 4:59 pm basically telling me off. I responded in kind. Tomorrow morning should be fun.Comment

Dcm doesn't want her child napping here (says she doesn't sleep at night if she naps), I told her I'm not going to wake her if she falls asleep. Said she understands, but then makes comments about it. Today, it was "has she been sleeping here?" "Yes, she has been the past few days." "That's what I thought. I understand, but we were up really late playing." I just stared and smiled. She's more than welcome to pick her up before rest time if it's a problem for her

Well, sorry about your luck, lady!!!! This is what is happening with all this 'free money'.....no one wants to pay for anything even if it's their responsibility.....no accountability whatsoever!!!!!

I had a load of pea gravel in several big piles in my playground.......thought my daycare kids would LOVE jumping in, dumptruck playing, shovels/buckets playing until it was all spread out a littel.....what is is with kids these days.....no work of any kid....just stood and looked at it......guess I will have to get the rake and shovel out but my goodenss! as kids, we would have loved this kind of play!!!!!

Ok, this must be my venting week I ALWAYS check my kids before taking them to the door for pickup. DCM text me a few minutes after dcd picked up dcb and said dcb was wet all the way up to his neck. I called and professionally-kinda- let her have it. By the end of the call, she was like "oh, ms xxxx, I told him his skin wasn't red and this was not like ms xxxx da ta da ta da". This is the same dcm that said she was 'strapped' to pay her fifth of what I charge for overage pay as she is paid through essential worker pay

Ugh, I hate that. How long was the ride? How big was the sippy cup in the car? How much sugar was in it? Lots of sugar in one drink pulls fluid from everywhere in the body to remove it. I am constantly teaching this to parents. Dehydration can be caused by lots of sugar in the car and it looks like an unchanged diaper. Hugs -
Hang in there. They always behave the worst in summer and at the holidays. We are halfway there. We can do this... My PITA is driving me crazy, too. Deep breaths.
