I have something similar to Cat Herder One has markers, one small drawing markers and one has colored pencils.
I keep most my crayons in a plastic shoe box container. Only the kids that wear underwear can use the markers and colored pencils.
The little ones that are still in diapers and/or Pull ups use Crayons. It provides motivation to use the toilet when they are restricted from the makers....lol!
I also have one of those metal farm house type trays that I keep Crayons in. The older kids use that when they want Crayons that aren't naked, broken or otherwise
played with" by the littles. lol!

The kids each have a plastic pencil box filled with a set of crayons and a set of markers. (Walmart sells them for about a quarter after their back to school sales are over.) I also have a large plastic storage bin that holds extra markers.
