Cat Herder when you say offer them the spot, what does that mean? Is that after some communication?

And that is one of the reasons I offer the slot to the first person on the list. I don't tour until I offer them the slot. I have complete control over how the in-person tour goes. Easy peasy.

*The last person I did not want to take was unaware of the circumstance and completely agreed with me, laughing. She thanked me profusely after talking to her father. No need to rub salt in the DCK's Grandma's wound, ya know. ( I was Grandpa's prom date when Grandma should have been, unknowingly)

Everything looks a bit different in the light, ya know.

Don't like to do this but I could just ignore it and if she emails me, say it went to spam.

Technically, you don't have anything available for HER. LOL

I would not respond to any emails she sent and if she asked any questions regarding the spot, I would say it's been filled!

I just wouldn't reply back or not answer any communication she sent. If you HAD to answer back just say short and sweet; you have nothing available for her. I would not get into why or how just nip it quickly!

If it was all through email i would honestly not respond anymore and leave it at that. Otherwise i would say the spot has just been filled today from an interview you had the night before, or the spot is no longer because a child in care is expecting a sibling and you need the spot open for that family.

    Initial Contact

Last night I got an email from Mom asking about care. I told her I had availability and ask yourself out my contact form, which ask specific questions so I get to know more about them.

Mom filled out the contact form this morning and I recognize the name, name is someone I know but not somebody that knows me or knows they know me.

Without getting into major details this is somebody that I'd rather not do business. Since this is a business I like to be as professional as possible but I would really prefer to discourage or turn down the family without without Mom realizing the reason I am not interested.

What would be the best way to word this?
