Some home owners policies will insure daycare too.
However, some homeowners policies and/ or Auto will drop you if you have a daycare. AAA it's one that will drop you, I've never been insured by them but when I called for a quote that is what they told me.

I left it out of the handbook and checked "no". What they don't know can't hurt them.

I never thought of that! Unfortunately, my state has a new rule that we have to put who our liability insurance is through in our handbook. If we don't have liability insurance, then they have to sign a form acknowledging that I don't have liability insurance 😮💨

I have them sign the waiver even though I do have liability insurance. It is common practice. I keep it to protect myself but don't advertise the fact for those who believe "oh, they are insured, it won't hurt them" and make false accusations. Some try to hide injuries, drop off fast and blame daycare because they are afraid of medical costs.

Liability Insurance
I've never had it, but my state has added a new rule that if I don't have liability insurance, then the parents need to sign a form acknowledging that I don't have insurance. So, I figured I better add it- plus it's a good idea to have it anyway.
I got a quote back today and it seems SO high! It comes out to $125 a month! She said it was sent to multiple companies and this one was the best by far.
How much do you pay? Is this a crazy amount?
