  • Organizing Snacks

Do you all have fancy pantries to keep your snacks and daycare food in?

I have limited kitchen and pantry space and I'm trying to be creative at organizing. What do you do?

My pantry space is sad. Very sad. Since snacks are generally AM bread/fresh fruit then PM bread/raw veggie here, I just plan a menu that offers repeats of the types of "breads" per week. Last week M+W+F was pretzels and wheat thins (alternate AM/PM each day), T+TH was flat breads and corn chips. By doing that they still had a variety of snacks for minimal space. This week is graham crackers, cheerios, granola and pita chips. You can then mix it up by flipping the days around for the next two weeks making planning for the month pretty easy. Add in some diced cheese or meats to bulk them up if you choose, depending on your kids needs. They only need two component's to be written off, though.

This is a great idea. My pantry is pathetic. I'm jealous of people that have infinite amounts of space.

I used to be jealous then I though they have to dust, organize, wade through, check dates and probably over buy, often. Minimalism works for me. It would be great if I could get my DH on board with not putting the heavy stuff above my head, though. That would be super helpful. If he see's a free space, that is where it goes. First world problems, I suppose.

Yes!!! Lolol!! If I could get my DH to be helpful and follow protocol I wouldn't even know what to do with myself. 🤪

I bought little containers from Dollar Tree and pur their names on them. I put snacks and food items in the containers.
