A blow out to me is alot of poop that literally seeps out of the diaper and onto clothing or...
Whereas diarrhea can be alot or a little, is loose and watery, happens more than once in a short amount of time and has a distinct smell and is abnormal for the child no matter what age.

    I was thinking the same.

DCK is 18 months. It went up the back and some of it out of the sides. Felt warm, but no temperature.

I consider them different if under a year. After a year, or after solids are started then their stool should be firmer and should not seep out the diaper unless it's in allergy, food poisoning or illness.

    Blowout/Diarrhea

Do you consider a blowout and diarrhea to be the same? Or do you consider a blowout being a lot of stool?
