I asked my parents to bring 12 treat bags Friday!!! You would not believe the text I got back when I sent a reminder.....'so, I bring A TREAT BAG!'....'so do I bring the goodies IN the bag or either/or bag or goodies"...... you just can't make this stuff up....makes me NOT want to ask for anything!!!!

There’s always the old standby: “If I do it for one, I have to do it for everyone, and it’s just not possible.”

My party is Friday as well. For whatever reason, my town is doing TRT on Monday at 5:00 instead of 6:00! I am closing earlier than normal so I can take my own children - but I feel the “can you put Bobby in his costume…” coming since it starts so early 😂

Most of mine won't get to go TRT on Halloween this year due to work schedules and ages. Monday is a miserable day for TRT. I am doing the party on Friday so they can enjoy it all weekend. The kids won't know the difference come Monday.

I wish I could, but it won't be fair to the kids who don't get to go TRT. It's also really hard to manage with so many kids. You are more than welcome to pick up earlier and dress them in the living room if you won't be heading home first. Obviously, I can't keep my family out of there often, but I am sure I can manage it for a little bit that day if you really need me to?
Is how I'd handle it now, but I really, really like and trust all of my daycare parents right now. That does not happen all that often as you know.

I am too blunt at times and I’m probably overthinking this. How would you politely say “I am not getting your child ready for trick-or-treat?”Tags: None
