There is an element of:
"I don't know which way to go and am willing to consider other viewpoints to help make my decision."
"I do it this way and this is why."
"That's the wrong way."
Maybe it felt personal? Not everyone reads the other posters responses like a group conversation (I don't, I like authentic answers, so I give them.). They just read the original post and give their own reply. I can see that it feels like piling on if they all say the same thing in opposition of your view, like it was organized. That is rarely the case here, though. We want opposing views to consider and discuss. That is how we learn. Well, that is my view anyhow.

I am still trying to understand how the misunderstandings occurred. To me, it looks like mismatched communication styles. I see more agreements than disagreements.

One misunderstanding is no reason to throw in the towel…
We learn and then do better. It’s always a work in progress

Everything is a reflection of the daycare provider especially if it's in your home!! Either way I'm going to continue to do what works for me and my famlies and I wish you ladies the best of luck

I don’t understand the need to keep repeating “We are not the same”, then listing out all the reasons that we’re not. NONE of us on here are the same. So what?
Kids get sick. Sometimes kids get sick at daycare, despite the most stringent illness policies, and in the cleanest environments. It’s no reflection on the daycare provider. Sometimes it’s just out of our control.
On a positive note, all but one of my daycare kids have returned from having RSV, and we are back to a mostly-normal routine. I need the routine as much as they do. 🙂

Rockgirl see y'all ain't forget you all talk about all this illnesses ravaging through your day cares and then when someone notices you feel as though that is an assumption that I made I can only make that assumption based off of what you guys are saying and I'm sorry but we aren't the same if I haven't gotten any illnesses and you ladies have how are we the same no I'm not saying I'm cleaning more than you,: or more cautious than you I'm just saying I have not had any illnesses!! But if the shoe fits wear it but if it doesn't apply let it fly

Well again we are not the same I am more than a daycare provided to my families I'm Gigi I'm auntie I'm cousin I'm hair stylist and everything else you can think of if one of my parents needs me at 8:00 I'm there at 8:00 especially when it comes to these kids My slogan has always been I am not your average daycare lady!!!

@JaeB….In your own words: “ . I take sickness and illness a little bit more seriously than the ladies on this thread”
“Also my cleanliness is what gets my program full. Parents always express to me at tour how other daycare centers or other home daycares are dirty the kids are running around with snotty noses and runny noses and things like that” You may not have been aiming that part at any of us personally, but I doubt I’m the only one who felt this way, given the general tone of your comments in this thread.

Are the implications, assumptions are you just putting words in my mouth not one time did I say anybody's daycare was dirty not one time that I say anything about all of the illnesses in your programs you guys have spoke to how many illnesses you've had not me and if you don't want to give advice don't my show will still go on
-
Hey you ladies can feel how you want to feel I'm going off of what you guys said in your comments about all of these illnesses that you had I didn't post it you guys did. And please don't put words in my mouth ! either go back and read the comments or don't reply its that easy

What's my deal? The deal is I made a post you commented I commented right back that's the deal

A majority of my families work in healthcare. I can only image what they’ve been exposed to. Oddly, although I had parents and siblings that had COVID I didn’t have any DC kids have it, nor did myself or my DH get it and stayed open the entire pandemic.
