I am looking for a convertible all in one car seat for my grandbaby. She's 8 months old today. Just getting to the size/age where she needs to have a bigger car seat verses the bucket seats used by infants.

I've looked at so many of them that they're starting to blur. I've read so many reviews that I can't track what is good or bad about any of them anymore so I figured it would be a better idea to ask actual people what seats they use and like and why or why not.

My daughter bought Britax One4Life seat but its on the expensive side and I do not need something that fancy or costly when grandbaby isn't going to be riding in my car as often or for as long as she will in her mom's car.

We originally purchased an Evenflo Everyfit 4 in 1 seat and ended up returning it because it just didn't function that great. The shoulder straps wouldn't tighten as they should have and the leg straps tightened so much that it was cutting off circulation.

So if you use a seat for daycare kids or have littles yourself what seat do you have and what do you love or hate about it?

I purchased for my car the Safety 1st grow and go sprint all-in-one convertible carseat.....I didn't attach a link because I didn't know how to get it to NOT show my walmart account I got the teal green one.....I do like it for great nieces but now I have three so I use my niece's vehicle if I have them all.

Thank you! That is one we considered as it looks nice and comfy and seems to have good reviews. I haven't messed with car seats since my own kids were little and I am amazed at how complicated they are now. They come with huge instruction booklets and I find it a bit overwhelming.... well alot overwhelming! lol!

Exactly, and I hear car seats actually have 'expiration dates' but I haven't even looked for that. LOL AND, my niece had to install it in my car.....I didn't even TRY. LOL

I’ve always done Graco. I’ve used other brands temporarily and I just have always liked Graco. But really they all are tested and do the same thing so price is probably more your target. It’s your steel frame seats will be more.

The Graco4ever is $230.00 so it’s cheaper than the Britax and it’s a great car seat. It’s easy to clean and install and go from level to level.

You can get a Graco 3in1 for under $200.00 too.

I also have gone directly to Graco website and shopped their sales and got a good deal on my last car seat. If not there, target or Walmart will have good prices for them.

My daughter has the Graco 4ever for my grandson. He’s six, and still in it as a booster. They’ve been happy with it!

Graco seems to be a pretty recommended brand so I’m leaning in that direction….

I find it to be cheaper sometimes to go right to the car seat website. First purchase you get a percentage off and free shipping.

With that said I tend to go with Graco or Evenflo and Pay attention to weight limits. The higher the limit the longer you get to use it.

We just got rid of the Tribute by Evenflo (no cup holder) because DS was over the weight limit but the Contender, DS still fits in it. I think that is something I noticed about Evenflo, their weight limit is less than Graco's. So I tend to buy more Graco.

We also used Cosco in the past, we were tight on money and Costco had a really good sale but we got to the display late and another customer grabbed the last boxed on. So they gave us an additional discount on the display.

Also, check out Bed bath and beyond, I got a seat from them before and I was able to get 20% off and free shipping. Currently, they have 25% off coupons.

I have two of the Evenflo EveryKid Convertible** car seat for DD3. I highly recommend this one. It’s easy to install and very easy to clean. We have the leg issue as well, we’ve pinched her thighs before.

DD10 had a Safety1st Grow-in-Go car seat. I liked it but it was very difficult to change into a high back booster. Because of this, I didn’t use it for a booster seat, I got a Graco.

Thank you! I really liked the first Evenflo seat I got and definitely considered the Safety First too as I know they’re a reputable brand.

My DD originally wanted that Evenflo seat that rotates 360 degrees but my hubby is hesitant of buying into gimmicks or anything that is a first year model so while the rotation idea is super cool, I’m sure it will improve in the next year or two and I’ve noticed other brands are putting their own versions of the rotating seat out as well.

I agree BC, stay away from the swivel seat. Being a mom and provider has taught me that products with gimmicks are 1. a waste of money and 2. first to be recalled. Just give me a basic car seat with no flashy gimmicks or useless accessories.

The only thing I recommend is two cup holders if possible but not the kind that is a strap.

I like the idea of the swivel seat… but I don’t think I’d buy it anytime soon. And I have lower back problems 😂

Blackcat31 Graco has a 30% off sale right now, it says it's a Black Friday sale we're going on or at least it was last night.
