My mamaw that passed last year loved loaded baked potatoes from a local BBQ place; dh is off on Thursday so he brought mom and I one. I text my cousin a pic and told her 'in honor of mamaw we were eating baked potatoes'.....She sent me a pic and said 'you aren't going to believe this, but look what I'm eating' and it was the same thing.....good memories and odd coincidence!
I love hearing about experiences like this. You may think I'm crazy but I think it's your mamaw at work, letting you know that although she's passed on, she's still with you all in spirit.
Baby is back in care. She's been gone for a month with Covid and then an ear infection. I just changed her diaper and I believe that she has an yeast infection. Poor baby, got to break the news to dcm.
Stepped out of the covid-fear and completed the vision-screening for the kids today through a local community club we usually do annually....kind of a nice feeling...they were very cautious as we were as well.
Sometime last week when we headed out for the bus, I found this on my newly used van.
They've been living in the pine tree that's in the playground. Sometimes they'll fly down and sit on the fort or somewhere on the swing set.
Today I have two 4:00 pickups and a 5:30 here. 5:30 Mama text and said she'd be here at 4:00. She does this every once in a while. My guess is that she'll pick up before the other two.
This morning I was dreaming that I had an alarm that wouldn't shut off, I unplugged it, I took the battery out but it still wouldn't shut off. Then I realized it was my phone and the alarm had been going off for three minutes. Ugh waking up sucks.
I LOVE coffee with lots of flavored creamer and drink my VERY LARGE CUP the entire daycare day.....but every once in a while I splurge on a Starbucks bottled caramel frappuccino,,,,like right now! The starbucks are not kind to me health-wise but sometimes you just gotta have one!
So far, I'm one kid down today. Love having smaller groups on a Friday!
I open at 7, but never have anyone until 7:40ish.
My first drop-off today only comes on Fridays. Dcm not working right now. Told me she drove by at 7:02 to drop-off but said all my lights were off, so she went home for a bit and came back at 7:30. I told her that I have a driveway alarm and would've came down (my daycare is on a separate floor) when I knew she was here. I do my chores upstairs until about 7:20 if no one is here yet.
Then she told me that dcg is teething hard and has a cough and is fussy. Now I know why she tried dropping her off as soon as I open She said she took her to the Dr and they said the cough is from teething I told her a lot of illnesses are going around, especially rsv. I'll be keeping a very close eye on dcg.
When will kids learn not to announce the toy they plan to play with when we get back inside? Their rival is sure to rush straight to the shelf and grab it first.
Sometimes I have them sit when we get inside and call names one at a time to make their choices, but not every time.
Yay for a 3 day week! I don't know if it's just me or what but most times the shortest weeks are the longest weeks! lol! Hoping that is not the case this week though!
