    My plumbing issues in the kitchen going to slow my plan up a little bit but it's all good... Plumber is coming around 11. As this is the only hiccup I've encountered while I was off so far, I can't complain.

      Stayed on track to be completed with the 'big physical stuff' today....still some paperwork but I can do that late at night...spent only two days in the daycare; so I got this.....so much I needed to get done but have stuck with it and it sure makes me feel better mentally but I feel the pain physically. Feeling blessed and thankful and accomplished today! These moments haven't come often the past year; partly self-inflicted and partly due to things I could/can not control.

    Just heard Betty White passed away I loved her!
    She almost made it to 100 yrs old! Her b-day is Jan 17

    First Betty White, and now I am surrounded by tornados and super cells. DH and I are just watching the radar and sky, waiting. Boots on, trauma bags packed. Fingers crossed. And so it begins.

    2022 is not impressing me at all.

      Oh my! Hoping you and DH as well as your entire community stay safe!
      It’s -40F with windchill here.. (-15F actual temp) It took me 20 minutes to get dressed to play fetch with dog for 8 minutes… he’s gotta have a few minutes of exercise now and then or he’s horribly behaved inside.
      Crossing my fingers your evening stays relatively calm….

      We were just cleared. It got really loud, like airport runway loud, for a minute or two and now it is completely silent. Not a cricket, owl or tree frog to be heard, anywhere. Hopefully, we are good for a bit. Supposed to be a rough weekend and becoming cold again Sunday Night. I can't even comprehend -15. lol!! I have seen five inches of snow, once, for about four hours before it melted and refroze into an ice sheet, per usual.

      Similarly to CH, we will go from heavy rain/storms and 60s temps down to 22 degrees and snow in the next 48 hours....

        I am opening today and it’s very bittersweet. But… last Thursday I sent out seasonal policy reminders with my Summer Vacation time in 152 days

            First day of the new year and every family requested an exception from one policy or another. None valid or remotely hardship based. All were served a no.

            Let's hope this is not a trend.

            Snow day today for my DD. The teacher DCD is keeping their DCB home. But I am expecting the other two families, one because dcd told me yesterday that she's coming no matter what and the other will still need to work.

            Two out with covid protocol but the other 10 came in GREAT this moring after a two week break

            I think these kids need home quality time and the break helps them as much as me! ​​​​​​

              ​​​​​​MY dd9, who's home for a snow day is in her room throwing up, nothing but liquid. There goes a great snow day.

              Snow didn't start here until 830ish

                Today, I got a great start to the morning. I got up at 6:15 and got ready. I sent DD9 off to school at 7:30 and then I had some time to myself before my first one arrived at 7:50 and DD2 woke up, about 5 mins later.

                During that time, I got dinner in the Crockpot and enjoyed a warm cup of coffee to myself. No noise. Just silence.

                  Sounds like a wonderful start to the day!
                  I got up, rode my exercise bike, showered, had breakfast and headed into work a bit early as it was snowing and I wanted to shovel before parents arrived.
                  Of course, every single person driving the same direction must have decided it was a scary drive because none of them exceeded 25 MPH Nothing frustrates me more than drivers that mess up the flow of normal driving...
                  So me being me, I got frustrated as I passed them and naturally got the bird from atleast 2 of them.
                  Ugh! Stay home if you're afraid to drive in snow or leave earlier so you don't have to force everyone else onto your morning "schedule"
                  If I had stayed behind them all, I would have been atleast 20 minutes late. But I made it on time, shoveled and salted the walk way and enjoyed a cup of coffee before the first arrival.

                    I don’t mean to brag or anything… but I only have three 😂

                    Yesterday I had just had two. I have two out for because they are going through a sleep regression, one out for pink eye and the other one isn’t here this week. It’s been a breath of fresh air 🥰
