My two least favorite kids (different families) are absent today! I have a long weekend coming up too!

My grandbaby came and spent the day here yesterday and will do it again tomorrow too! She's growing so fast!

Heading to the River today for a few days; so relieved, relaxed, and ready! Selfishly, although several family members are going, my DH is not so when lights go out, it's just me and sometimes that's a welcome thing. We have rooms instead of the cabins this time so it's MY room, and MY room only. It's on the water so I may sit outside and overlook the balcony to the water all night long....peaceful is what I'm most looking forward to along with my coffee

Oh my goodness that sounds heavenly! I would give up a weeks pay to have alone time! lol! I love my DH and my kiddos (my own) but alone time is hard to find sometimes! Have a wonderful time and savor every second of that time alone!! <3 <3 <3

FYI: my oldest is working and can only come a few evenings, my youngest is headed to a friend's wedding in Arkansas; my first trip since my children are actually grown and not under my feet; I'm happy they are turning into nice adults but it is different for me; but oddly, I feel ok about it!

One of those things I had to step out of my comfort zone for! Not one to leave with one of my kids still at home but it's healthy for me and them to make moves like this!

My workshop! lol! Hubby got me a scroll saw for this very reason. But you can buy wood letters in an huge selection of sizes at Hobby Lobby and Michael's crafts. I think you can order online at both Hobby Lobby and Michael's.

It is DCB4 last week. I always plan to do something fun on the child's last day with out making a too big deal out of it.

Today I get a text this morning, today will be DCB last day. Normally I would be yeah but this one is my ds friend/same age plus some many things alike and they get along well. DCB has been the bridge between Dcg and ds getting along also. So I am not looking forward to DCB being gone.

DCB knows it is his last day, am he is a bit mopey. He was playing great with Dcg then he just stopped and started pouting. Dcg didn't understand what was going on.

I've got one here, too, that will be leaving this week. Apparently, his parents have been making too much of a fuss about it because he too has been weepy and clingy all day. He was excited about the transition, I sure hope they stop soon. At 5 he is going to have so much more fun with a "big kid", commercial, playground and splashpad at his disposal. I am so excited for him.

I had a wonderful 4 day weekend! Got to spend a TON of time with my grandbaby! She's growing so fast!! Saw her yesterday and miss her already!

I got my garden planted in between the huge flocks of mosquitoes and the scattered thunderstorms. Planted a few new things as my change over to raised beds has taken a while but I finally have all the beds full, fertilized and planted. Hoping this growing season is as good or better than last years!

Super stormy over the last 2 days... a few trees down and lots in the area without power. Tornados in the southern part of the state and massive flooding up north.

Went for a wonderfully refreshing drive with my DH and stopped at a little roadside bar/grill for an awesome lunch!

Managed to get both the lawns at home and at the daycare house mowed. Even better found a new young man willing to mow daycare this summer as my "old" one just graduated high school and seems to have zero interest in making side money any longer. His quality of service had gone down over the last few years so it was expected that he'd move on to bigger better jobs. Hoping my new one works out well as this is his first summer mowing for others but his family is a good one and i know he has a great work ethic. Plus his younger sibling attends care with me so I see his parents daily if he starts to slack. lol!

I have two meet/greets set up this week to hopefully fill my last open space and if I am lucky, replace a kid that is just not clicking well with me and the rest of the group. First one to arrive each day not last to leave but still the one that makes me cringe when they pull in the driveway each morning. Not a bad family overall as they pay on time, respect my policies and don't cause any issues but I just can't find any common ground with either parent or child and that's not ideal for me so as long as I have other interest, I will replace if the right fit comes along.

Only 4 more days until school is out and Summer official begins here.... Hoping everyone had a wonderful weekend, long or short!

Baby's last week and he isn't crying a lot and not napping. My DD10 had to hold him so I could get things done and he won't cry. Thank you to dcm and dcd for holding him during naps.

I have one more day of baby that is held while sleeping. My DD is going to earn money helping me get through tomorrow.

Then Thursday, SA boy comes back. He was placed in the out 3 times today and told he and his sister was not allowed to talk. Every time he talks to her he is either degrading her or interrogating her.

Then She got placed in time out because when I called her over to ask here a question she accused my DD of not being nice to deflect from her getting in trouble, when I just waited to ask her a question. This must be the side of her that her brother complains about but I never see.

Starting off busy today; four already called out for today! planning to call some folks to set up a couple interviews.....heat advisory today so little outside time......so here we go! Had a great weekend, completed lots of cleaning within daycare and home but still working on home improvements that have hit a standstill as I wait on a few things I can't do without some outside help. But it's all good and it's JUNE.....hanging in! HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!

I’m back from vacation!!!! We had the best time at the beach! It was DD2.5 first time at the ocean - she loved it! We’re already brainstorming places for next year.

I love the time off with DH and our DDs but I also love our routine, our family thrives on it. I told DH that now he and I need a vacation from the family vacation

Three have called out today (pool days/going with friends, so they’re not sick!) and DH made my coffee this morning before he left for work. It’s gonna be a good one!
