  • I'm down two kids on Monday and Wednesday and one kid all week, so I only have two kids and my ds today.

I got one 11 month old starting next week. And then I got a call over the weekend for a 3 year old with an estimated start date of August Sunday on when Dad gets a job. (They just moved to my area for Mom's work) They needed Monday through Friday and I only operate Monday through Thursday. Mom said it wasn't going to work but then I commented that Dad could get a Monday through Thursday which is very common in this area. She talked to Dad and call back. So I'm meeting with them tomorrow.

    Good Bye

Sorry I didn’t get a notification that you had responded. I wouldn’t send them anything. But that’s because I don’t chase people and that’s just my personal rule. They know where I am and if they want to come, they can contact me.

I sent something just to confirm that they got the last email but they never responded. So I move on than and the space is no longer available for them.

Yea that’s good you did that so you know for sure you did everything right.

  • Today is my first day back from vacation and the kids are doing great with all the changes.

All 6 slots are paid for but only 4 are attending until mid-July. I have no one over age 3 for the whole summer unless I take a drop-in former client or two, periodically, for extra supply income.

    The playroom feels huge!

"My" new infant was born this weekend and is a girl. That will round out my group well for the next 2 years, once her mother is ready for her to attend full-time. 3 boys, 3 girls, all with opposite sex age mates. 3 yrs, 2 years, and infants. Whoop.

Let's get the summer fun rolling. It is looking to be awesome.

I have several interviews scheduled for Saturday.....can't do the evening with too many zooms going on with all our changes. Praying for good families for my two spots. Ready for the schoolers to LEAVE!

  • Another hot summer day! We’re staying in today. I think we’ll work on Father’s Day gifts… if I can find the motivation to do them

We went out at 8:40 but had to come in early at 11:30, too.

Even with water play, soaking wet clothing from the garden hose mister, juice pops and non-stop cups of water, it became too much. They are sleeping like rocks, now.

I did not make my son's be vaccinated due to not knowing the future implications from the vaccine. They are of age but I never encourage/discouraged them. Same for my family with 'littles'......Actually, I've left covid out of my vocabulary for most of this year. Haven't forgotten as my aunt is a longhauler but don't really even want to hear the word COVID!

I think it is scary that they approved this vaccine for such a young child. I have no intentions to get my four year a covid vaccine. I would never require or recommend my clients to vaccinate their young child either.

Blackcat31 I agree your grand baby should not get the covid vaccine.

I won’t require and I won’t vaccinate my girls for it right now until the long term side effects are better known.

I haven’t been vaccinated nor has my husband and we (myself and DD) only got COVID once in 11/2020. DH has never gotten COVID. Everyone else (our extended family and friends) that have received the vaccine and boosters has had COVID more than once or it’s been the worst sickness they’ve ever dealt with. Amongst other freak incidents, like unexplained heart attacks. DH aunt is healthy and three different heart doctors had no explanation for her recent heart attack. She believes it was the vaccine and will no longer be getting any boosters.

Blackcat31 one of my parents got a rash like that as well. She followed a FB group and I guess the tanning bed/sun helps dry it out.

    • Today, for father's day, we went to a restaurant that I haven't been to in a decade and I left having a allergic reaction to something I ate.

My head hurt, my tongue swelled and my throat started to close up.
      Good Bye

Oh how scary! Hopefully you are feeling better! It's hard when you don't know the root cause and even scarier when it's something you've had before and never reacted to before. Thank goodness for Benedryl!

Wow! That's scary!! Thank goodness you had that bottle of Benadryl. If you haven't had reactions to food in the past, you may want to speak with an allergist who can test to see what you might be allergic to so you can avoid it in the future. They may even suggest you get an Epi Pen. Glad you're ok!

e.j. Ironically, I saw an allergist this year and was tested to see what I am allergic to. My top things are pecan, almond, crab, peanut, and oatmeal. (Oatmeal and Peanut I still eat with no reaction but I do not normally eat the other 3) So it was either something I was not tested for (which I doubt) or more likely a case of cross-contamination in the kitchen, since everything that I ordered I eat regularly.

Either way, I will not be eating the leftovers or going back there.

I have another appointment, so I will talk to him about what happened. I will also make sure I keep Benadryl with me.

Honestly, If it was not for getting tested this year, I would have overlooked the headache as just a headache (and not as a reaction) then I would not have taken the Benadryl when I got home.

    • It’s going to be hot one! I hope we can get out today and most of the week.

DH grandmother is keeping both DD tonight to see how DD2.5 does away from home. This is the first time in 2.5 years that DH and I have been kid free overnight! We’re planning to get caught up on some landscaping/yard work

Blackcat31 I’m trying to convince DH that we should go on a date tonight instead of dealing with our homeowner responsibities 😂 but I know today is going to be the least hot/humid day of the week. I might get a Wendy’s date so we can come back and get it done lol

It’s cold here. Lol. Okay it’s not truly cold. It’s 75 now. But Friday was 97. 🤣 so this AM was 63 and I was like this feels like fall. What’s going on!?! On the hot days, we all go outside right after breakfast. We usually can get an hour and a half out there.

        Enjoy your kidless evening!

    • Got my teeth pulled Friday, 3 wisdom and one molar. Every thing seems to be going alright but I having trouble with finding foods to eat as foods are getting stuck in my gums. They recommend soft food but not to use a straw. Any suggestions? (Cooked eggs are out due to allergies plus a hand full of other food)

Oatmeal, yogurt, broth or soups like Lipton Chicken Noodle or tomato, apple sauce, cottage cheese? I hope you recover quickly.

I found the best thing I could eat was pudding and mashed potatoes. My mouth was so swollen that I had to use a baby spoon. The small amounts of food that I placed in my mouth helped to keep the food from sticking to my gums. Hope you feel better soon.

I am feeling good just mainly discomfort from food getting into my gums. I am finding it helps to swish my water when I drink.

I did drink some instant breakfast, yogurt and pudding.
I tried soup but the pasta got caught in my gums. I might be allergic to oatmeal, so I have been avoiding that.

    • Four day work week ahead and then three day week next week....definitely ready for the break! The river is calling my name!

Not sure why but I always cry on the way out of the park and today was no different. It's like I leave the world for a few days and then as I head back home it is so bittersweet! Very therapeutic weekend....and plan to keep these trips more current....it's not too far from home but it's far enough away to get a much-needed break!

CH, I'm back to work today but I had a wonderful break! Did two second-interviews yesterday, had my annual physical for daycare, and all seems to be moving along well!

      • The past two weeks I've had two spots open as I wanted the break...the spots are filled but made their start date next week. Sometimes you just gotta have that break in number. I've got some programs I'm finishing up this week and needed no new children in the mix. Hope all have a good week!
