Isnt this a Hipaa violation? Also, the whole “Whites only “ “colored people only” came to mind for me. Its a little scary how the vaccine is segregating people. And back then, they thought keeping “colored people” out of white peoples space was what was best for everyone & this country is still suffering from that decision …ok not trying to start a new debate. Anyway..im not getting the vaccine. Im enough of a hermit to be ok with not going anywhere.

The government says it is not because that would not meet their agenda. It is only a violation if being so works in the government's favor.

HIPAA provides YOU the right to privacy. Meaning YOU get to decide who you allow to have access to your medical information. Voluntarily showing your own vaccine card would be you giving permission so NOT a violation of HIPAA. Now if your Dr or clinic sent a list of who is/isn't vaccinated to a business then that would be a HIPAA violation. The difference is who is sharing the info.

But if i try to enter im being forced to show my medical info? I allow the restaurant to know but now everyone in that restaurant is going to know i have the vaccine, what if i dont want complete strangers to know? I know i have the choice not to go into the restaurant, but i think its going to get more extreme to the point where you cant go anywhere without it. Where is the freedom in that. If i cant go into a grocery store without a vaccine, then im being denied the right to eat. And what about kids? They cant go into restaurants now? Since the vaccine isn’t available to them. Families cant eat together anymore? There are going to be people who cant grt the vaccine for various medical reasons, they cant go to certain places when its not their fault they cant get the vaccine?
There are are still people dying from covid with the vaccine. So its all just confusing to me..

This whole thing is not about keeping people safe, it never was!
How many lies can a system pile up, before the whole thing comes crushing down?

This was meant as a comment, not sure why it showed up as post

Momboss when it comes to HIPAA laws I thought the same thing. Basically the government found a loop hole with their own law and switched up… per usual! LOL

Momboss I was talking to my nurse friend and she just told me that “kids will never be mandated to get the vaccine because it hasn’t been fully tested and approved.” So I’m assuming this new mandate in NYC will not apply to children.

She’s upset because her hospital just made it mandatory to get the vaccine.

Blackcat31 that is very interesting to read

Momboss that is what is frustrating to me… why allow vaccine exemptions for medical/religious reasons but NOT for this one??

Gemma she is taking it. She loves the hospital she works for, she actually started there, left to try another facility and went back.

Momboss Vaccination is required by schools in MN. Medical exemptions are acceptable with documented proof from a physician but the state seems to really have cracked down on personal reasons in regard to exemptions and do but rarely accept religious exemptions from my recollection.

My step daughters mom wouldnt give us access to her medical records when we had to enroll her in school so we just said exception to not have to show anything and get her in school.

I like pushing the envelope so I’ll go all out. Nothing has really made sense the last few years.

Let’s look at before Covid. It seemed like America was ready to go to war. The left is way left and the right was way right. There were two strong sets of opinions and philosophies. It had nothing to do about perspective but more to do about the foundations and concepts of thought that each were standing on which were diametrically 180 degrees opposed to each other..

There’s been very little middle ground and the obvious extremes between the left and the right couldn’t be starker or more dangerous. I think those now with the mantle of power are doing one of two things.

        1) They trying to keep this country from plunging into a new Civil War and coming apart. Many of these big cities are powder kegs waiting to happen.

        2) This “civil” Civil War was already won by one side who is now in total control of our country’s institutions, federal agencies, educational systems and military, and without a single shot of lead being fire. It was won with the shots of these vaccines which has placed this country into fear and subservience. It’s what any Machiavellian ruler would be proud of.

Why give up that power? Having mandates that run counter to our Constitution and a Bill of Rights can only be rectified by our court systems and ultimately by SCOTUS.

My fear—is that those now in power will refuse to abide by and enforce what the court systems rule. I think we are starting to see that now. Once that happens, we will be in a constitutional crisis with drastic consequences. Our three branches of government are supposed to balance each other.

I may sound extreme but could we really have predicted that America would be where it is now 20 years ago or even 4 years ago?

        okay, I’m done,

As an immigrant, who had to have lived in this country for 5 yrs before even being able to apply for citizenship, and then take night classes to study the history, government and constitution to fully understand, appreciate and pledge to obey the law of this great country, I can only say what a shame!

I never really felt we were as free as the constitution says we should be, but never would I have thought we'd be sold out this easily.

People are forgetting that Human Rights are not for government to either give, or take...that's what fear does to people, and that's why fear is what they're using

On the other hand of this token, personally, I have a group of whippersnapping millinniel cousins that homeschool about 15 kids between them and they have been passing covid around like it's nothing and no one quarantines.....Right now a mom and her one-year old has it but NO ONE will quarantine and get mad when we want allow them at our get-togethers. I am not SCARED of it, but I don't want to WOLLER in it either. People are killing me!

Unfortunately, they're not alone in their behavior and that's why mandates are being put into place.

Neighboring counties already have teachers under quarantine for simple in-service training. Our county begins full-time school Monday; this is spiraling fast! ??

My DD works on the COVID floor of a large hospital and was one of the first people in my family to get vaccinated (late 2020) and she has not been told she needs a booster shot as of yet. She got the Pfizer vaccine. My DH, myself and my DS all got Moderna

        • #25
There is rumor of a 'booster' here!

I saw on the news that people who got the Moderna vaccine will need a booster by the end of the year maybe? I didn't pay too much attention to the article. It said something about the vaccine protecting you for 6 months.

I got the Moderna, but I don't know if I'd get a booster.

The head of the National Institutes of Health said Monday there is no reason to believe at this point that Americans will need to get booster shots for the COVID-19 vaccines.

“I would say right now, there is not evidence that we need to go ahead with boosters in the United States, but that’s an ongoing debate,” NIH Director Dr. Francis Collins

“Let me just be clear, though, that actually the existing approved vaccines in the US, Pfizer, Moderna, J&J, do have high effectiveness against [the] Delta [variant]. There is no reason to rush forward at this present time for a booster decision, but we’re going to watch that day by day.”

Collins said US health officials are continuing to review studies about giving booster shots — including from Israel, where the country is offering third doses to people age 60 and older. - August 2, 2021

During all this vaccination, quarantining issues where schools or workplaces do whatever they see best; I wish there was some consistency....even if it wasn't a necessarily safe-same-thing, at least it would be consistent. You got some factories with NO quarantine mandating workers come in here; you got some daycares/schools not quarantining for contact-tracing; you got daycare keeping quarantined kids from other daycares; makes for some people in communities at odds with each other all the time. Yes, that would be me Just respect my wishes or 'MOVE ON' ......it doesn't matter to me how xxxx does her daycare, it doesn't matter to me that you get to work with covid, just follow my rules!
