2020 was so bad as far an unemployment and no one working, the owner had to hire a parent to come in and work because people were and still are literally drawing more unemployment then they are working a regular job, Hired a new girl Friday so hopefully she works out. The week went good I'm still figuring out all of the kids and their parents and the teachers (a few I know within the community) but others I'm still getting to know

Supposed to be super hot today.I was planning on mowing part of my neighbor's lawn(it's a 2 day job for me, lots of hilly areas and pretty big and me with my push mower) but those plans might be changing. Trouble is grass(and weeds!!) are growing at an incredible rate, you could mow every 5 days. Why isn't the garden growing as fast??

Today I have no kids.I planned to go out for a haircut (it has been 18 months), stop by the hardware store to replace my watering wand/garden hose and hit up the local farmers market produce stand for some goodies that have not been touched by half the country already. It is tourist season, there is no parking left anywhere on weekends. In the theme of this week, I had to wait to sign for a package for my DH who is out of state and the construction crew scheduled for last week showed up unexpectedly and has both of my driveways blocked. I don't think they know I am here and I am going to go with that....
We plan, god laughs. So, here I am with you guys avoiding the windows while they clean up their hands and faces in my flower bed spigots. Man, I wish I left the old hose out there.

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you all can enjoy a 3 day weekend.Or at least a lot of you.
I finished my neighbor's yard yesterday, all in one day. But man, this ole body just can't do that very often. If it was a daily thing I'd be very fit. Or dead.
My poor sister.Life, for her, is anything but dull. Now she thinks she might've broken her toe and is in a lot of pain.
She was supposed to be part of a huge yard sale in a week, is expecting company 2 different weekends in June, and she's just going to have to scale down her expectations and take care of herself for a change. Her dd will be with her this weekend so that's a plus.
No big plans for my weekend here. Gonna take it easy, dh is going golfing Sunday.
Almost froze last night but Mother Nature was good to us.

Funny you mentioned those CH; she went to the dr. yesterday afternoon and they taped her toes together, she said it does feel a bit better since that. The dr. said it could be broken(without an x-ray there's no way to tell and she doesn't want them)but it looks very different. All red while some of the surrounding area is turning all those pretty healing colors, plus she's got a big blister of liquid on top of her toe. They prescribed her antibiotics in case it gets worse or shows no signs of improvement in the next couple of days.
Thanks for the offer CH.

Today is my Monday only dcbs last day.. They've been with me for almost 2 years. I'm so glad to ignored the advice that one day a week doesn't work. These two boys are the exception to the rule. They also brought me a gift and paid me for next week.Last edited by Alwaysgreener; 06-07-2021, 08:04 AM.
