Today is the first day this week I can get the kids outside. So much raking and clearing to do, though. The mulch looks like ocean waves and there is storm debris everywhere. Did I mention we are at 61% humidity.

Oh man! It's hit or miss everyday here with hard rain and pop up storms too!

flying_babyb ouch, we one employee quit this week and found out two kids that were summer only isn't coming back and they've both got COVID-19. Not only did all of that happen but we've got 4 kids starting on Monday.

flying_babyb and on top of all of that child came in yesterday morning and had puked int he car on the way and mom was changing him in the car and told us the older brother stayed at home because he wanted mom today so they brought the younger sibling and the next thing we knew he puked again so we had to call mom and have her come and pick him up. She knew he was sick why In the hell did she bring him! Not only that but our administratior was mad about it but she can't do anything as far as terminate because that has to be up to the owner..

Maybe I'm not understanding what happened but if the kid puked in the car on the way over, why was he allowed to be dropped off at the day care? I'd be upset with dcm, too, but there's no way I would have accepted that kid into my care. I would have sent him home immediately. Tough way to start the day. for sure. I hope the rest of your day was better!

This little mama brought her babies (4 of them!) in to the yard to eat while I was doing my morning treadmill workout

I went to primary doctor to get my monthly b-12 shot this morning and walked in without my mask per the regs when I was there last as I was vaccinated. Well, they quickly handed me a mask, changed the sign and told me there had been multiple respiratory illness within kids in that office. RSV, in particular, but is similar to delta variant??? Said they were having an emergency staff meeting and changes would follow. My nurse parent said the hospital pediatric floor is now full of serious respiratory illnesses....Regardless of how we feel about this.....at the end of the day, we have to follow protocol and I feel changes coming quickly here.??? My friends in the neighboring state are experiencing the same thing.??

Yes, Ive been reading alot about this new variant that is happening and how it's really affecting the kids more than the first round of COVID did. Makes me a bit nervous that we will be in another lock down soon. I have sooooo many families that are pretty much behaving like COVID never happened at all and are traveling all over the country this summer for vacations etc. After experiencing the illness I did on Wednesday, I don't want ANY type of illnesses happening here at all. I know parents are starting to be sick and tired of the strict illness policies and my no tolerance rules but it's also their health and well being I am protecting so we have to do what we have to do but I for one am super sick of all this COVID stuff and everything that comes along with it. It's getting hard to find the positive in general lately. *sigh*

RSV cases are on the rise this summer all across the US. I haven’t heard that it’s similar to the delta variant. I see changes coming in the near future everywhere. I think Los Angeles reinstated their mask mandate a couple of weeks ago.

I pray none of our daycare kids get the variant or RSV. 💙

Right there with you, BC! Covid has taught me who my friends are, though....regardless of what the government is doing for control, I still deserved respect for my business practices and still don't receive that. Have already sent an 'absolutely NO symptom reminder' to parents. So tired of being the 'police'....why can't people just do the right thing? And my son is a senior this year....my other son lost out on graduation but he didn't care...lol but my youngest does care and he is so worried about this!

Our govenor was VERY blunt yesterday on the news and pretty much said that she blames the unaccounted folks for the spread of this virus not the vaccinated ones.. I could hug her right now. People don't like her but she's trying
