When I start kids out with scissors, I put bandanas on their heads, do-rag style. 🤣

Dcg arrived this morning with shorter hair. I commented that she got a hair cut. DCM says yeah I cut it, well so did Dcg.

DCM took a quick shower and Dcg bobbed half of her hair, so dcm cut it.

Lol I have been nervous that this Dcg would cut her hair while we are doing crafts, so I always position her in my eyesight when she has scissors.

So relieved that it happened on dcm watch and not mine.

I was reading the menu aloud to the kids before making lunch, and said, “chicken tacos”. 2 yo dcb said, “YAY!! TOCKERS!!”

Maybe it's because I'm feeling a little punchy today, but if I opened a book for the first time and that's the first page I saw, the kids would have to wait until I stopped laughing before I could read the rest of the book to them.

I was going to read a book about raccoons today. This is the first picture in the book. my guess is the picture was taken in the early 80s even though the first copyright date isn't until 2000.

Seems that my dd has started some kinda trend. LOL She has a loft bed and when I told DS that he was getting a big bed, he says like sissy? Silly me I said yes. Then he went on about having to climb in bed and so forth. While we got him one, but a shorter one.

Well DCM says she told DCG that she was getting a big bed and DCG says like DD? DCM without knowing, said yes. DCM turned the crib into a toddler bed and DCG tried to place the front of the crib next to the bed part for her ladder. LOL That is when DCM realized what she agreed to accidentally. LOL

DCM: does DD have a loft bed?

ME: Why Yes why do you ask?

DCM: Oh well, so does DCG now.

Then proceeded to tell me what happen.

ME: LOL DS tricked me with the same question.

Oh, no! That's so sad - not to mention nightmarish to have seen. I love where we live, in part, because of all the wildlife here. There is a downside to it, though, when you see things like what you described.

That is sweet story, a lot better than the deer my dck found. She was a momma and was trying to get food from my apple tree when she slipped and got stuck on the branches. When we walked out side to go to the bus, one of them said, look a deer!

I have a climbing toy that includes a slide and "house" underneath. I had just brought the kids out to play and was busy with a couple of them, when 2 others called out to me saying there was a bunny inside the little house. We do get rabbits in the yard but I had never seen one in the play area, which is fenced in, and they usually take off running when they see us so I didn't believe them at first. I ducked my head inside the house and sure enough there was a baby bunny lying in the mulch inside the house, not moving at all. I told the kids he was just tired and sleeping and to please stay away from the house so he could finish his nap. My husband went out after he got home from work and took care of it for me but... at least none of my dc kids carried it like a baby! lol

So I sent me kids outside today. (25 degrees)

When they came inside, they take me to the slider because they had a surprise.

They show me a dead crow that they place on the picnic table and ds4 said "I carried it like a baby" lol

(Seriously we had a little talk afterwards about not touching that animals)
