This morning, DD3.5 said, “My friends are wearing me out!” 😂😂

She doesn’t go to pre-k today so she was trying everything to persuade us to let her go. 😂

I have been struggling with my DS4 on learning his colors, shapes, ... Well it turns out that he has been playing games with me. He tells me the wrong color, shape... on purpose. He does it because I do it. He told me so, I tricked you because I like to play.

When I ask him if a Y is X and he will say no it is Y, then laugh because he knows I know. The other day DH pretended to throw DS socks and DS went looking, when he did not see them, he turned around and without missing a beat, said, Dad, you tricked me.

What am I going to do with him?

Parent leaves previous daycare because the provider’s illness policy wasn’t strict enough.

Parent enrolls with me and thinks my heavily enforced illness policy does not apply to them.

    The irony.

DD3 and I are home alone in the mornings. While she gets dressed upstairs, I will make her breakfast. I’ve been fighting with allergies these last few days so I’ve been coughing off and on.

I coughed and she hollered downstairs to me, “Cover your cough!!” 😂

Things that you just have to giggle because otherwise you’d cry -

dcd is early 40s, dcm is late 30s, so around my age (I’m 42). Talking to them feels like talking to my teenagers where common sense isn’t always Instinctual. I don’t provide baby food (for under 18 months) and just supplement with our meals until they’re old enough to just eat regular food. I ask parents to send food. I get ONE mandarin orange.. that’s it! Then I figured maybe they misunderstood and asked for baby food pouches and snacks - they send a half box of those baby crackers and one pear. Alright time to rephrase - I need fresh fruit and things she can eat her with hands. They send one mango! 😂😂

here’s the Funniest - dck turns one this weekend: i made it clear they provide everything and have a specific list - paper plates, cake, goody bags, etc. I have decorations that we use. Today dcd shows up with 3 tiny ice cream containers (like those Ben and jerry ones that are 2-3 servings, but every person eats it as one serving!). And plates. They decided they don’t want to do cake../ no goody bags, no bowls. But paper plates and three tiny ice creams…

now when I take pictures on Monday, not sure If it’s publicly shaming them on our private page because they’ve been here for enough birthdays to know that our families go all out for them… I will go get a table cloth this weekend and put up our extra decorations, but the table will have paper plates and 3 tiny ice creams: 🤦🏻‍♀️

I just saw a quote that said 'wasn't it Friday just 9 minutes ago?' Yep, I'm feeling that

I checked the two diaper kids still here and said, “Did somebody poop? I keep thinking I smell poop.” Dcb3 said, “And you JUST changed everybody.”

I guess they do listen, sometimes! 😁

Parents are required to text when they arrive and there was construction on our street. I hear this horrible thump and our House shook (it was the truck dropping a metal plate outside) and I hear my cell say I have a text.

here was the text - Good morning! We’re here. Oh my God!!! What the f** was that? Oh sh*t, unsend text. Siri Unsend text . Siri!’

Dcm Is this timid soft spoken woman and I laughed so hard!!!
