I met my ds and his gf at a restaurant halfway 'tween their house and mine yesterday, enjoyed lunch and got to give them both some major hugs. I told them it was so nice to see that they're still real and not just some video bot on the computer.Hadn't seen them since Christmas of 2019.
But I have to admit it felt very odd and awkward.

Today was a very productive day.
All issues are now resolved to a peaceful conclusion. I have lesson plans and crafts planned + prepped for the next 12 months. I unboxed and put up way too many packages today but now my supply cabinets are full and stocked for the next 3 months. I have finished all the new enrollment paperwork and contacted everyone on the waitlist to let them know it will be another 24 months or so from here. And now, bring on preschool year 2021-2022

Itās Friday Eve! š¤ Historically, Thursdayās are my slow days and today was no different.
My first child didnāt arrive until 7:40, so I was able to clean the upstairs & get two loads of laundry going. I only have 4 kiddos⦠my easy kiddos at that! It just so happened that my not-so-well behaved kiddos are all out today - I could jumped for joy!

I've only got 2 more days of virtual schooling left. The kids got quarantined at school just before Easter during the last week of March. Did not have covid but became close contacts at school (one of them MAY have passed by another kid (diffrent class) on the playground. Then it was our delayed March break that happened in April. Then the schools where shut down and never reopened. So it's been 3 months of doing virtual school. Me sitting by my 5 year old doing Sr. Kindergarten on the computer while looking after my dks. My other kid was also doing grade 2 in the room next and for 80% of time he was good on his own. Now I've just got Monday and Tuesday left which are both part days.
Plus the Kindergarten teachers are still handing out certificates for graduating Kindergarten. It is one at a time for a quick picture and to turn in devices and grab belongings left at school. But they even droped off to our house a little grad hat for them to wear during the virtual part of their grad on the computer in the am. My baby boy is growing up.

3 day work week this week....took six days in July....3 sets of Thursday & Fridays rather than them all together like I normally do. I need the slow time for sure to recuperate and rejuvenate.....I added an extra Friday off in June and plan to in August, too....I'm just to that point in my life where I HAVE to do ME sometime for my mental/physical health and I've never been a ME person, but that is about to change.
