There were five racoons, a mama and her babies, on the playground this morning, a chipmunk at the ground feeder, birds singing galore and a HUGE bunny in the garden during morning walkthrough. For just a moment, I was transported back to Mr. McGregor's garden.
It is such a beautiful morning and I still have thirty minute to enjoy my coffee before opening. It is going to be a great day, I can feel it.

I go back for an X-ray this morning. Pray all is healing like it should. I’m at 3.5 weeks. I’m thinking positive!Comment

I just received three call-outs. No one is sick.
Two off to the ATL zoo with Grandma. One off to the Anna Ruby dress up tea party, hike and tour at Hardman Farm in Sautee Nacoochee.
I will only have two boys under two. This is going to be fun.
I am trying so hard not to look for the other shoe or anvil over my head.

Everything is healing nicely! Got an ankle brace to lace up and strap that will fit inside the boot while working but I can work out of the boot and use only the ankle brace as slowly/quickly as I feel. So I take this as positive news! Go back in four weeks!

Sorry this is long!
I had Covid in February and my husband got hospitalized (He’s fully recovered). I ended up closing for 3 weeks. I terminated one family because while he was in the hospital, they sent me a threatening message about if I don’t open soon they’ll have to withdraw care. So I termed. 2 other families (the three were friends) withdrew the week i opened up so not only did I lose income for 3 weeks from them giving me Covid and dealt with all the stress of it, I lost 4 kids in a matter of a week. It left me with 4 kids so not enough to pay my own bills let alone pay my assistants. I took out a loan and figured I’d use it to pay them and just float until I can’t anymore.
Today, I did the final round of interviews to fill all the Spots and i have 3 on the waitlist that are willing to PAY me to go in the waitlist because they’ve heard about me. God is good!!!
(and a little gloat - one of the families that left ended up calling me back. They decided to sell their house and move to the suburbs and wanted to apologize to me. Leaving my daycare was the worst decision they made for their 3 year old. I told them mom thanks and wished them luck in their move, but totally made my day)Comment

I only have two here today. They’re my first kiddos to leave too! I have a church event tonight at 5:30, my normal closing time. I’m just saying, the Lord works in mysterious ways

HAPPY MONDAY!
I really am happy for this week. Half of my kids *the awful ones* are out for vacation! Which means I will only have a handful this entire week!
I usually don’t get excited about this but since I got back from vacation, it’s been a complete chaos. I am excited to have a chill week with kiddos that play well together.Comment

This is a slow week for me as well! I only have 2 kids today!
Unfortunately, one of the most, um, "difficult" kids I've got is here. But, with the other boys gone, he has no one to fight with - so he hasn't been too bad.
Feel so lucky most everyone decided to take a vacation the same week. It's crazy how things work out like that sometimes! -
They don't miss any time, if they did they wouldn't act out to get the attention they lack from their parents.

My families know that August is a 'get through the month in preparation of something new in September'.....I simply open-close-survive in August Really excited about September this year as this year it will be ME and not the FCCERS-R decorating my room. The room will be all ME and I am excited about that....still some guidelines but I can deal, I think! 
Two will be going to kindy; last day Aug 13; spots are filled; have filled the kid's spot that is going to a REAL PRESCHOOL; so I'm thinking POSITIVE and feeling some good vibes this week.

Yay! I am doing the same. I am still avoiding "that" one art corner. lol! I guess I will re-organize it when I finish harvesting, washing, stringing, slicing, chopping, blanching, silking and freezing each and every day. My "hobby" garden has turned into a second part-time job.
Oh, and the two infants.... can't forget the extra time and effort that takes.
