Hoping your stepmom and your dad are okay and don’t have any major issues 🙂

My step mom tested positive yesterday & my daddy tested positive today both for covid. Teachers have been out sick with covid last week, closed Thursday & Friday to deep clean because of so much sickness, found out employee "b" that had been sick came up to the daycare last week to check to see if we had a schedule for this week & come to find out was still positive for covid. Employee "c" refuses to come in last week because their kid was sick & pulling at his ears, grandma didn't know what to do regarding kid if they tested positive for covid because she & daughter both work together & also live in the same house. Employee "x" has took off countless times in the past because their kid was sick but if someone is sick & can't close or can't come in she expects people to help her out but if they need help their pretty much screwed, Boss came in from their job to help out because we have no one & get the kids off the bus last week. Not only all of that but they've closed schools down & the students have had to go to remote learning until monday

I tested negative after 6 days. The only symptom was a headache so I opened on Day 7.

I’m on my 14th day. I can retest now to see if negative. I was told early on-5 days quarantine and then mask for 5 more days.

I exclude for symptoms like usual at this
point. I don't treat covid any differently anymore.
If I were to become sick I would inform parents and figure something out . The families I currently have are on the same page as I am about covid.

aw that blows: Similar situation: Coworker A lives with coworker K. K tests positive, and cant really quarantine away from A and her son. A quarantines 5 days. A ends up positve on day 3. Kid is clear. Kid came back after day 5 masked. So I would assume if your best friend stays negative, 5 days and then mask for 5

That's how urgent cares used to be here, now it's a couple days out (My appointment is at an urgent care) and about 3 days for results. They are starting to charge for it here as well. Unless you have a doctors recommendation it's $85!

To question one, 5 days or until symptoms are gone and then masked for the remainder of the 10 days OR 7 to 10 days
To the other, I am not sure, it was 10 days after last close contact, so if you isolate starting today then their ten starts today but if they test positive or symptoms start, then refer to question one.
I don't know about there but here urgent cares do same day testing.

Oh Covid, How I Loath Thee...
Woke up Sunday morning for church and felt a little stuffy and a tickle in my throat. Took a test just to be sure I didn't bring anything to church and continued to get ready. Was almost positive it would be negative since I don't leave my house :P Well within a few minutes, BOOM, two lines! Waited the full 15 minutes just to be sure and was definitely positive. Needless to say I didn't go to church.
Contacted my families and said I would try to get into a "not at home" test today (Monday) and would close Monday and Tuesday for sure and possibly longer depending on if it's positive and how long my results take. Took another home test this morning, definitely positive. Earliest test I could make an appointment for is Tuesday at 1pm, but I'm know now it will be positive. I contacted parents again and said I would be closed the week. I have a horrible immune system and several breathing problems, so really hoping things don't go south...
Question time!
1) If all goes well and I don't get too bad, when would I open back up? I have look and look into this any have had SO many different answers. I know it varies by state (I'm in Colorado) but what are you guys doing in this case?
2) I have also looked into quarantine for those living in the house. My bestfriend both lives and works with me. Would there be any possibility of her re-opening and me staying away from kids? (A friend did this when her husband had it, but he was on a different floor) She is constantly exposed to me but is testing negative at the moment. We are only doing pickups and she's not going in any stores or church.
