Oh Covid, How I Loath Thee...

I would not if I was asymptomatic because of the crazy high fail rate of the tests because they can't tell the difference between active disease and antibodies. I'd continue following universal precautions, masking when necessary and limiting contact.
-
I wouldn't because they say you can test positive anywhere from a couple of days to about 6 months after you have Covid/test positive. Plus they claim, any positive within 90 days is not accurate and you don't have to quarantine. Also, I hear that there is a shortage in test so why waste a test.
If you do retest, i recently read that it's better to get the rapid/at home test then the PCR because PCR will remain positive longer than the rapid. Apparently, PCR will also test positive sooner.

I agree with BC. I wouldn't feel right going back to work (or out in public, for that matter) until I was sure I was negative.
-
Personally, I would just because I’d feel horrible if I thought I passed anything to someone else. So for peace of mind, I’d retest before going back to work.

Springvalley hoping you recover quickly with no long term issues. Yes! He hand washing makes your hands so dry.. but dry hands are manageable. lol!
@Annalee.. yes, my DD was told to take a baby aspirin each day to help ward off any blood clots that could happen. I’m hoping the infusion also helps too!
-
My brother had the infusion wthin 24 hours after testing positive...we believe it helped him My long-hauler covid aunt now has covid again and they are low on infusions and she doesn't qualify??? but they are giving her plaxlovid which her daughters literally had to fight for and then had to find a pharmacy with it as it is hard to find it. Then they called the clinic back for a prescrip and the pharmacy stayed open till they got there. It shouldn't be that hard! My niece had covid when she was pregnant with her first; she came through fine; main thing was to watch for bloodclots and she had to cancel her flight to Texas she had scheduled due to the bloodclot issue; baby was delivered fine and healthy. Hope your daughter recovers quickly.Last edited by Annalee; 01-23-2022, 06:37 PM.

Opinions please. If you are on quarantine for five days for covid, would you get retested before you return to your job? Our center doesn't require it or for you to be vaccinated but I'm just curious for your thoughts because me testing positive Friday (1/21)

@Blackcat31: thank you so much. So far I haven't had any major symptoms just a cough& a runny nose thats about to drive me crazy. Think I've about 2 rolls of tp in about a week and washed my hands so much they're busting and dried out

My daughter (pregnant due in mid March) and her fiancé both tested positive the last couple days.
Fiancé is asymptomatic and DD has mild cold like symptoms. Her OB/GYN set her up with an antibody infusion. Said it would help her stay hydrated and ease stress on baby I’ve never heard of that but anything that helps is ok with me.

Ooh! That can be painful. Hopefully there's a medication you can take for the symptoms, at least.
