DCK Out Sick

DCP text me that DCK is not feeling well and won’t be here today. I wasn’t given any other info.

I don’t want this child to break a fever tonight and come tomorrow morning still contagious.

How would/how have you handled this?

Ask specifically what the child has so you can tell other parents what to look out for in regards to anything going around.
If parent is still vague then you know they are hiding something.
In that case, I'd be honest and just say that you need to know and if they aren't willing to share then they will need to see a doctor before coming back.

No privacy rules broken. Unless you tell other parents who is sick etc but sharing that a child in care is sick is normal shared info in most child cares. :-)
