I still have one spot open and I have mixed feelings on filling it. While I should fill it because of inflation, my last spot is always a problem spot. I can’t seem to get the right fit. 🤷🏼♀️
I got a call from a woman yesterday. She sounded elderly but I figured she was helping out and inquiring for a grandchild. The woman wants to send 2YO to DC three days a week so the child can get interaction with kids her own age. She’s an only child. When I asked her what hours she’d need, she said she’d have to figure that out. Throughout the conversation, I found out the woman is fostering this child with the intention of adopting her. The woman and her husband are both retired. I overheard the child screaming in the background and she said the child didn't nap that day. When I mentioned my contract the woman asked how long they’re contracted to me because they’re sending her to pre-k August 2023.
I told the woman that I may have an opening in April but I’d have to confirm in a few weeks. Im not sure if I want to move forward with an in person interview - this seems like a catastrophe.
