"According to Franklin County Coroner Charles Adcox, the coroner’s office responded to reports of an infant not breathing. The four-month-old was found unresponsive at the Tiny Tigers Daycare, located on 4th Street, and was transported to the emergency room by a daycare worker, according to the Red Bay Police Department. The infant was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

WAFF 48 is told during the investigation Payton Gann, of Vina, was arrested and charged with false reporting to a law enforcement authority. She was later released from the Franklin county jail." - Death investigation underway after infant found unresponsive at Red Bay daycare (waff.com)

Um, wow. Maybe the kid was a "ghost rider" and not on attendance (employee kid or grandkid)? Crazy to take that kind of risk. SIDS can happen to anyone at any time. They don't mention s/s of foul play, just false documentation and inappropriate transport. So far.

I checked their business page and they have not updated it since July 2021.

Looks like the daycare is four blocks from the hospital. No, it's not the right choice, but somebody may have figured it would get the baby there in far less time than waiting for an ambulance.

Maybe, if the baby was breathing when the left the center? IDK, her photo looks young. Maybe she is related to the child, drove the child to daycare, so thought nothing of driving the child? It would be a weird choice with someone else's child, though? A child you don't transport regularly. To me.

I found an update that said the owner and the employee drove the infant to the hospital while the employee continued CPR. With only 4 blocks to go and known EMS staff shortages, it was probably the best choice.

Cat Herder I saw part of that last night on the news but wasn't able to catch it all. We dont even have an AED at our center or a pediatric reuscuitator. We need one in adult, infant & child
