You’re right. Community Health Clinics aren’t the answer either.

“Furthermore, even though CHCs are present in more than 9000 communities, approximately 25% of communities with demonstrated primary health care need still do not have a CHC. Results from a national survey of federal health center grantees found that provision of reproductive health care services at their largest medical centers are also strikingly limited—25% do not provide oral contraceptives on-site, only 19% provide all contraceptive methods on-site, and only 50% provide on-site intrauterine device or contraceptive implant services.4Finally, the majority of CHCs require significant increases in funding for capital improvements to serve their existing patient population and meet their current demand for basic primary care services. The bottom line is that CHCs simply do not have the capacity, facilities, or resources to pick up the significant patient population left without care if Planned Parenthood health centers are shut down.”

“In an attempt to justify so-called “defunding” of Planned Parenthood -- which in fact means prohibiting Medicaid patients from turning to Planned Parenthood health centers for basic care -- some politicians have made the false claim that Community Health Centers could simply replace the care that Planned Parenthood provides. This claim has been refuted by public health experts and Community Health Centers themselves. The experts at the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the National Partnership for Women & Families said flat out: they can't cover the gap. Even the executive director of the American Public Health Association has called such claims “ludicrous.”

Momboss So would you really speak up if you were told that your friend/sister/brother/mother l would be killed or feared for your own life, if you told anyone or did not abort.

Knowing that your handler/abuser was waiting outside for you or that you may never see your friend/sister/brother/mother again, would really speak up during the consult?

Your only saving grace would if the consular spoke up and faked your death but still your friend/sister/brother/mother life would still be in danger, let alone all the hiding you would have to do so they didn't find you.

Sex slavery/human trafficking is a massive industry, that spreads across multiple continents and incorporates porn, abortion, illegal immigration and drug industry.

To quote you "I think a lot of this falls under “If it doesnt affect me then i dont care.” Its a common thing amongst humans. We tend to only concern ourselves with the things that directly impact us or the people we love."

Alwaysgreener so for the small amount of women this happens to, we should just get rid of it for everyone? Forget all the people who want an abortion for any other personal reason that greatly affects their well being. Getting rid of abortion does not prevent sex slavery, so in all due respect, what is your point?
My quote stands. Humans tend to not care about an issue until it affects them. Abortion was not an issue the US need to deal with right now when there are other issues that are more important. Like the reasons WHY a woman gets an abortion. Poverty, drugs, racism, lack of education/opportunities, and like you mentioned, trafficking.

The term “defunding” Planned Parenthood is a misnomer. Planned Parenthood does not get a blank check from the federal government, and it’s not a line item in the federal budget. Planned Parenthood receives reimbursements, just like hospitals and other health care organizations, for providing preventive care. Federal law already blocks federal funding from going to abortion services.
The so called Defund Planned Parenthood bill was aimed at prohibiting Planned Parenthood from profiting from services other than basic healthcare. In its latest annual report, Planned Parenthood boasts performing more than 345,000 abortions while receiving over $600 million a year from American taxpayers. I'm sure that does not sit well with pro-life supporters.

A comment was written to me and then deleted. Won’t say who or what since they may want it private. But I have a response.

I haven’t told anyone they are wrong. It’s just my opinion isn’t liked so it’s not accepted. Probably my prolifer comments weren’t the nicest, but I differentiated between who I was talking about. I know prolifers that open their homes up to foster children. Beautiful people. They understand when they vote prolife, that their work doesn’t stop at the voting box. I have respect for these people.

With most everything I’ve said, I’ve provided supporting data. Numbers and data is proof to me. If it isn’t for someone else then I don’t know what to say about that one.

You’re right, not all states will be effected. It’s fine one doesn’t care about other states. That doesn’t mean I can’t bring it to the attention of those that would care. This is a public forum and shows up in searches. People in here could be reading and say dang, I had no idea about this! I had no idea Texas still denies healthcare to their marginalized communities and their babies die at higher rates and now they have full power to make it harder for these women!! Wow!!

It is important to some people.

I will leave your forum space. It’s cool. I put good info out for people who care. That was my point. 👍

"1680 VA Legislation passed the law where all white were free and all-black were slaves."

So they passed the law where all the white were free and all blacks were slaves. Does that mean that the black slave owners became slaves when happened? If just the whites were freed, what about the other races, Native Americans, Asians... And other races that are not considered white, were they still slaves, or were they freed?
          Good Bye

40% of Abortions are performed on Black women
80% of PP clinics are located in poor minority Black and Latino neighborhoods

Yes so now these low income women of color will have an even harder time gaining access to safe abortions. Unfair.

When you’re talking about black slave owners and saying what you said to me, this is twisted history. And it’s twisted history about Anthony Johnson who was an indentured servant before 1680 ruling and he worked his way into land ownership. And he had one servant John Casor, who was black. And this story has been used to try and prove that slavery was an economic issue and not about race. To add, there is very little of any documentation about black land owners. Probably because we can count them on our left hand.

It is not a good argument. It’s extremely offensive and it minimizes what the black people went through. I am not being rude to you at all. I am just telling you what I know.

I would have to research the other part of your question about Asians. But indigenous people were always treated like crap too. Their babies were stolen from them. Their women were stolen and forced to marry white men. They had no rights. Then the boarding schools were created that forced indigenous children to attend. They were abused. Murdererd. Malnourished. Completely white washed - meaning their names had to change, and they couldn’t practice any of their cultural ways. And we are still finding their children’s burried bodies all over US and Canada today from these boarding schools. And some are trying to give their bodies (skeletal remains) back to their tribes.

Our history is awful. Is it your fault? No. But we need to make sure we know it so we don’t minimize it or dismiss it.

This has nothing to do with facts I don’t want to hear. I am not pushing a narrative here. It’s the truth. And at the end of the day, black slave owners still doesn’t negate the racism in this country. That’s what you’re trying to tell me. That their suffering doesn’t matter because black people had slaves.

But I better keep my mouth shut or I’m going to be accused of activism. Doesn’t anyone here watch black children?? Jesus Christ. Go tell one of the black parents what you just told me and see what happens.

MissCait I can't speak for others but I do know Alwaysgreener isn't the type of poster to purposely bait anyone just to get them in trouble. IMHO, a more appropriate response to her "off topic" question since you had already mentioned staying on the topic of Roe vs Wade would have been something along the lines of answering her question in another thread/channel or even privately as I did with you.

Don't assume offense simply because you felt you were being reprimanded whereas I personally feel as though the reprimand was directed at you more so than others because you have, for lack of better words, taken over this discussion. Hence why I deleted my previous post. I felt it was pointless to continue going back and forth when clearly your opinion is rooted in your beliefs and isn't going to be swayed by others. If that is the case I can see how some members are avoiding the continuous history lessons thrust upon them whereas others are truly trying to discuss the topic with you... (@Alwaysgreener for example).

I am trying to stay on topic. I have answered peoples questions. I am not discussing anything else outside of R v W on here, if I discuss that at all right now. So if other people do feel I’m too much of a presence and want their thread back, they can have it.

I haven’t known that poster to be that way either. But I wasn’t understanding why something was just said to me only. But I doubt she meant to do that.
