I am trying to stay on topic. I have answered peoples questions. I am not discussing anything else outside of R v W on here, if I discuss that at all right now. So if other people do feel I’m too much of a presence and want their thread back, they can have it.

I haven’t known that poster to be that way either. But I wasn’t understanding why something was just said to me only. But I doubt she meant to do that.

MissCait I can't speak for others but I do know Alwaysgreener isn't the type of poster to purposely bait anyone just to get them in trouble. IMHO, a more appropriate response to her "off topic" question since you had already mentioned staying on the topic of Roe vs Wade would have been something along the lines of answering her question in another thread/channel or even privately as I did with you.

Don't assume offense simply because you felt you were being reprimanded whereas I personally feel as though the reprimand was directed at you more so than others because you have, for lack of better words, taken over this discussion. Hence why I deleted my previous post. I felt it was pointless to continue going back and forth when clearly your opinion is rooted in your beliefs and isn't going to be swayed by others. If that is the case I can see how some members are avoiding the continuous history lessons thrust upon them whereas others are truly trying to discuss the topic with you... (@Alwaysgreener for example).

This has nothing to do with facts I don’t want to hear. I am not pushing a narrative here. It’s the truth. And at the end of the day, black slave owners still doesn’t negate the racism in this country. That’s what you’re trying to tell me. That their suffering doesn’t matter because black people had slaves.

But I better keep my mouth shut or I’m going to be accused of activism. Doesn’t anyone here watch black children?? Jesus Christ. Go tell one of the black parents what you just told me and see what happens.

Because previously when she said something in response to me. (Her and I both had an exchange so not blaming her on that. But I responded and I told her we should keep it r v w.)Then she asks me a question and I answer and I’m the only one getting reprimanded for it. So I don’t know if it was deliberate or not, but wanted to point it out if
it was. I know these forums get crazy and mean. People probably want me kicked off here.

I actually take offense to the above statement. I didn't read anywhere that Alwaysgreener was baiting you... I read her posts/comments as trying to have a legit discussion with you. Why the immediate assumption that she was baiting you to get you in trouble? In Alwaysgreener's defense, she is not that type of poster at all.

The term “defunding” Planned Parenthood is a misnomer. Planned Parenthood does not get a blank check from the federal government, and it’s not a line item in the federal budget. Planned Parenthood receives reimbursements, just like hospitals and other health care organizations, for providing preventive care. Federal law already blocks federal funding from going to abortion services.
The so called Defund Planned Parenthood bill was aimed at prohibiting Planned Parenthood from profiting from services other than basic healthcare. In its latest annual report, Planned Parenthood boasts performing more than 345,000 abortions while receiving over $600 million a year from American taxpayers. I'm sure that does not sit well with pro-life supporters.

I am not sure why you think it is twisted history. There were really black slave owners (and technically there still are in Africa and possibly in the sex slave industry but I do not have any proof either way).

Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr. is a documentary television series on PBS. Henry presents a celeb with a book of their family roots. One Female Celeb was presented with the fact that her black #x great-grandfather was in fact a land and slave owner. She was devastated by the news, but I do not remember her name. The other celeb in the episode was a news anchor and she found out that she had white family roots. Last night Micheal Moore found out that his white 5x great grandfather was a POW and a slave.

This may not be the facts that you want but it is a fact. Yes, I agree we need to KNOW the history and not minimize or dismiss it.

Slavery itself, in the USA, is not race-based, But instead, it was and still is profit-based, especially in current slavery as it incorporates drugs, abortion, porn, and illegal immigration industry across several continents.

Yes so now these low income women of color will have an even harder time gaining access to safe abortions. Unfair.

I have no problem with you starting another channel in the Other Worldly Conversations section here. We should try to keep this channel about Roe.

Likewise, history should never be forgotten and it’s usually the victors that write it. So I understand you being skeptical of who has power and how it is controlled. I think that is healthy in an open society. This forum channel is open for debate but as a daycare forum we need to try better to understand each other and how we can improve our future. That’s a process. I would rather keep the activism to a minimum.

Alwaysgreener so for the small amount of women this happens to, we should just get rid of it for everyone? Forget all the people who want an abortion for any other personal reason that greatly affects their well being. Getting rid of abortion does not prevent sex slavery, so in all due respect, what is your point?
My quote stands. Humans tend to not care about an issue until it affects them. Abortion was not an issue the US need to deal with right now when there are other issues that are more important. Like the reasons WHY a woman gets an abortion. Poverty, drugs, racism, lack of education/opportunities, and like you mentioned, trafficking.

Momboss So would you really speak up if you were told that your friend/sister/brother/mother l would be killed or feared for your own life, if you told anyone or did not abort.

Knowing that your handler/abuser was waiting outside for you or that you may never see your friend/sister/brother/mother again, would really speak up during the consult?

Your only saving grace would if the consular spoke up and faked your death but still your friend/sister/brother/mother life would still be in danger, let alone all the hiding you would have to do so they didn't find you.

Sex slavery/human trafficking is a massive industry, that spreads across multiple continents and incorporates porn, abortion, illegal immigration and drug industry.

To quote you "I think a lot of this falls under “If it doesnt affect me then i dont care.” Its a common thing amongst humans. We tend to only concern ourselves with the things that directly impact us or the people we love."

When you’re talking about black slave owners and saying what you said to me, this is twisted history. And it’s twisted history about Anthony Johnson who was an indentured servant before 1680 ruling and he worked his way into land ownership. And he had one servant John Casor, who was black. And this story has been used to try and prove that slavery was an economic issue and not about race. To add, there is very little of any documentation about black land owners. Probably because we can count them on our left hand.

It is not a good argument. It’s extremely offensive and it minimizes what the black people went through. I am not being rude to you at all. I am just telling you what I know.

I would have to research the other part of your question about Asians. But indigenous people were always treated like crap too. Their babies were stolen from them. Their women were stolen and forced to marry white men. They had no rights. Then the boarding schools were created that forced indigenous children to attend. They were abused. Murdererd. Malnourished. Completely white washed - meaning their names had to change, and they couldn’t practice any of their cultural ways. And we are still finding their children’s burried bodies all over US and Canada today from these boarding schools. And some are trying to give their bodies (skeletal remains) back to their tribes.

Our history is awful. Is it your fault? No. But we need to make sure we know it so we don’t minimize it or dismiss it.

    Momboss you’re correct.

But like everything - if one person doesn’t follow a certain protocol, it makes everyone look like they don’t follow protocol.

Alwaysgreener based on my experience, no one is allowed to go in with you. They ask questions to make sure you want to do this. They wont if there is any hesitation.
I was able to go to the procedure during my friends, only after they had a private convo with her, then they let me in the room.
Working...
