House and Senate Mid-Term Election Poll
Collapse

The traditional trend would have been a huge win for the opposing party. That did not happen. It looks to me as though it will be a Republican House and Senate by a very small margin. I think the Senate will be 51/49 and the House 222/214, but that remains to been seen. Currently, neither party has 2023 control of either chamber of Congress.

Forgive me… I voted. But I have not followed up on the results today.
The House and Senate went democrat?

One thing the poll seems to have accurately reflected was the lack of voter participation locally.60% of registered voters voted, here.

Our poll did not reflect the outcome. The norms of tradition are just the opposite.
As bad as the economy is, with inflation and pain at the pump and costly groceries, the midterms traditionally go with the opposing party. While our poll made sense, the outcome was completely the opposite.
It’s hard to predict the future in the present. America definitely is polarized with two opposing sides that believe they must preserve their logic. It’s a matter of survival. America seems divorced from reality. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out in the next two years.
Florida’s election seemed logical but many of those that made it a solid red state moved from their previous blue states to achieve those results and goals in a Republican state. We are very much a divided states of America IMO. The left is confused by the Florida election as much as the right is confused by Pennsylvania. Hopefully we are not headed for chaos.

Yes it is; and I was more interested in hearing the CFP rankings at 6:00 last night..... LOL
Haven't watched news much since the presidential election!

Here in California we basically vote by mail. We no longer use ballot voting machines. I voted a week ago.
I prefer paper ballot or machine ballot the day of election. One day and get it done and counted.

My aunt and cousins are working the election polls locally......they say it's an adventure but FUN and they get paid well!
